Slice an onion into half rings and soften in a pan.
Add chopped pork (I like stir-fry style strips) and brown a little.
Add a peeled and sliced apple, and enough water to just cover everything. (If you're not serving with sauerkraut then you can hide some finely chopped white cabbage too, and noone will ever know!)
Turn up the heat and let the water boil away (watch carefully towards the end).
